   a toffee glistering
   carefully unfolding it
   strange textures vibrating
   at the end of your fingertips
   like a crackling promise
   enthralled
   sweetness sticking between your teeth
   with this pleasant texture
   when your tongue touches it
   and the way it vanishes slowly
   when you savour it
   dissolving into fragments of your own cells
   buzzing and chanting
   adding this extra flavour
   woven into your body
