no, this isn’t funny. this is not even the slightest bit funny. today scared the living daylights out of me! went to the latin course, and after four hours we were 23 pages into the book with a vocabulary of a hundred words (of which i could memorize about 15) and seven or eight grammatical charts of which i memorized none. i tried to work at this at home and it took me four hours to even *begin* to understand what we did today. this is truly hell. and i’m sorry for all my previous uses of superlatives because this beats everything! went to the office hours of the latin professor to register for the test at the end of next semester and instead of a reassuring “we’ll get you through this somehow. after all, the whole idea of learning latin is pure chicanery because you don’t need it for your subject and you never will!” he just said “oh my. oh my, oh my. you really want to do this in four months? that’s not a lot of time. of course you can register for the test, but i must warn you in advance - a lot of people fail!” THANKS, CUNT WEASEL!
so, seems like i’ll have to throw away the next four months. there’s no way that i’ll manage to do *any*thing besides learning latin. fuck. and it’s so bloody useless. it’s like learning as many figures of “pi” as possible just to forget them half a year later. boy i am *SOOO* pissed! this sucks big time! :o(((
